The ruling regimes of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus have accumulated exclusively defensive weapons on the territory of Belarus, which are indispensable for an offensive. This is what the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov said on the air of a nationwide news telethon on Tuesday, December 6.
“There is no attack on Ukraine by Belarus today. They really do not want to do it. Everything that happens in our media space is connected to the topic of Belarus, it is an echo of the Russian special information operation. The main purpose of the operation this is to sow panic in the society and delay our forces and means from the real battle on the front line where there are real battles. Our offensive is underway. This is the only goal they are trying to achieve,” he stressed .
According to him, “exclusively defensive weapons have been accumulated on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, which, in principle, cannot be used in an offensive.”
It should be noted that according to Budanov, the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the occupied Crimea could happen as early as 2023.
In addition, he believes that the Crimean bridge will cease to exist upon the return of Crimea, because no one needs this transport artery.
