Metinvest supplied five modular shelters to the Donetsk line to strengthen the dugouts, bringing their total number to 40. The company’s press service reported this on Friday, December 2.
“The defenders of Ukraine have already received 40 reliable modular shelters to strengthen the dugouts, which, if properly installed, can protect even from artillery shelling,” the report said.

“Modular shelters are completely atypical products for Metinvest enterprises. However, in order to supply the Ukrainian army, metallurgists launched the production of these structures from corrugated steel. The production cost of a such a shelter is about UAH 200,000, but the company transfers them for free. with a fee,” the press service said. .
According to Metinvest representative Nikolay Petryakov, the company is currently able to produce about 30 such shelters per month.
“But if necessary, we will increase the production speed of protective structures,” he added.
Recall that in mid-August, Metinvest announced the start of production of mobile shelters for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of Rinat Akhmetov’s military initiative “Steel Front”. The first batch of 25 such shelters was sent to the front line in the first half of October.
