During the public indictment by the prosecutors of the Kirovograd Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the Acting Dean of the Flight Academy of NAU was found guilty of extortion and receiving 11,600 US dollars of illegal benefits (part 3 of article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) . He was sentenced to five years in prison with the removal of the right to hold positions related to the performance of organizational, administrative and administrative functions for three years with the confiscation of all property.
Prosecutors proved that the head of the faculty solicited and received funds from one of the cadets for allowing him to participate in training flights.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by employees of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kirovohrad region.
