Armed teenager kills three people and wounds 11 in two schools in Brazil [VIDEO]

A 16-year-old boy attacked two schools in a Brazilian city aracruz fired indiscriminately, resulting in at least three deaths and eleven wounded.

Two teachers and a primary school student died, four more people, including a girl, were hospitalized in serious condition, according to official information.

The attacker, a former student at one of the training centers, was detained a few hours after the attack and confessed to the crime, which, according to him, he planned for two years, but did not explain the reason.

Authorities have not released the identity of the confessed perpetrator. shootingbecause it’s a minor.

The young man agreed to cousin beatty school in the morning, during school hours, by breaking the lock on the back door of the educational center, where he was enrolled until June last year.

He went into the teachers’ room, located 20 meters from the door, and opened fire at will on eleven teachers who had gathered between classes.

Arrested intruder

The police were able to locate and arrest him a few hours later at the family home located in state of the Holy Spiritin the east of the country, although the authorities did not provide more details in order to protect the minor’s identity.

After his arrest, he confessed to the crime, calmly spoke about the events and said that he had been preparing a terrorist attack for two years, but without specifying his motives.

Governor of Espiritu Santo, Renato Casagrandestated at a press conference that the young man had a “mental health problem” for which he was receiving mental health care.

He was wearing a swastika at the time of the attack, so authorities are looking into whether he belongs to an extremist organization.

The attacker is the son of a police officer and in the attack he used his father’s two weapons, a semi-automatic pistol and a revolver, which are the property of the regional military police.

In his account, the attacker said he planned the crime for two years, but did not explain the reasons and fired “without a specific target”, according to the regional secretary of public security. Marcio Celante.

The crime caused a stir in Brazil and was condemned by the president-elect. Luis Inacio Lula da Silvawho will take power on January 1.

Lula said he took the events “with sadness” and expressed “solidarity with the relatives of the victims of this absurd tragedy,” which incumbent President Jair Bolsonaro has not yet commented on. (EFE)
