The British government considers it “probable” that Russia is launching missiles designed to be used as nuclear weapons but lacked nuclear warheads against Ukraine, which would show that it is running out of long-range projectiles.

In his diary about the war in Ukrainethe British Ministry of Defense warned against the use of these missiles, which “although they will cause damage due to their kinetic energy and the remaining fuel, they are unlikely to be able to achieve a reliable impact on targets.”

In a statement, the ministry says the open-source images show the remains of an AS-15 KENT cross-missile, developed in the 1980s solely for use as a nuclear weapon and whose head was to be replaced with ballast.

“It seems that Russia remove the old nuclear warheads of cruise missiles and fire these unarmed projectiles at Ukraine”, he pointed out.

According to London, Moscow almost certainly uses this type of weapon as a bait to divert Ukraine’s air defenses.

“Whatever Russia’s intentions,” the British report concludes, “this improvisation highlights the level of depletion of Russia’s stockpiles of long-range missiles.”

The argument that Moscow repeatedly tried to deny it: Vice President of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev warned this week that “our enemies continue to ‘count’ our launches and our reserves.”

“This is a vain hope for the exhaustion of our capabilities. This will continue. Enough for everyone!”, He concluded. (According to EFE)
