The authors of the initiative insisted that energy and water suppliers turn off all buildings in Prague belonging to the Russian Federation.
Czech Public Initiative Gift for Putin published a petition with a proposal to turn off the electricity in buildings belonging to the embassy of the Russian Federation. On Tuesday, November 29, the Czech edition Novinky reported.
“We want the electricity and water providers to turn off all buildings in Prague that belong to the Russian Federation. Let them also freeze after dark, like people in Kiev, for example,” the petition said.
Its authors point out that this initiative is a response to the systematic destruction of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure by the Russian invaders.
“Russia has clearly decided to break Ukraine with darkness and frost. As a supreme moral principle, we ask the relevant public and private energy distribution companies to give Russian diplomats in Prague a taste of their own medicines. We demand that all buildings belonging to The Russian Federation be disconnected from gas, water and electricity”, says the text of the petition.
Dáme ruské ambasádě v Praze ochutnat ijich ošni polívčičku. We have https://t.co/sOl6gWvHqX petitions. Chceme aby energié energií at vody odpojili vyšeče buddy v Praze, kéré příče Ruské Federaci. Project Gift for Putin is aimed at supporting Ukraine, which has been fighting a massive Russian invasion since February. It started as an online store that allowed anyone to put in a basket and pay with a card for completely unusual goods: cartridges, artillery shells, machine guns, night vision devices, mortars, bulletproof vests, rockets , and even heavy equipment. The collected money goes to the account of the Ukrainian embassy in Prague, which, based on the urgent needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, buys the necessary weapons or other military materials from the Czech Republic.
As you know, the Russian army is systematically striking Ukraine’s critical infrastructure. As a result of the attacks, there was a lack of electricity, emergency blackouts were introduced in the regions.
As a reminder, as of November 29, Ukraine’s energy system still has a power deficit at the level of 30%. Restrictions apply to all regions of the country.
As you know, this shortage in the energy system is the result of seven waves of Russian missile strikes on energy infrastructure.
