The German government is preparing new aid for Ukraine after extensive damage to critical infrastructure as a result of shelling by Russian invaders. Spiegel reports.
According to the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Technical Assistance Agency (THW) plans to deliver 100 power generators to Ukraine within two weeks. 135 that such equipment has been imported into the country since the beginning of the war. In total, THW purchased generators for Ukraine for more than 13 million euros.
In addition, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 15 additional oil heaters, as well as 20 mobile battery packs and 38 housing and sanitary containers will soon be transferred to Ukraine.
According to the Ministry of Development Assistance, an additional 12 million euros from its budget will go to the energy supply of Ukrainian cities and communities.
Recall that Germany announced the transfer of an additional €40 million to Ukraine.
As reported, France is transferring 100 powerful generators to Ukraine, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is providing Ukraine with 80 generators.
