The President spoke at the UN Security Council meeting

The President invited the UN representatives to see what the Russian Federation has done to the Ukrainian infrastructure.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke at a meeting of the UN Security Council. He called on the organization to condemn Russian missile attacks on our country’s energy infrastructure and called them “crimes against humanity.” Through a speech via video link, the head of state addressed the meeting on Wednesday, November 23.

He also called on members of the UN Security Council to adopt a resolution that would condemn any form of energy terror by the Russian Federation.

“What does Russia want to achieve? When the temperature is below zero and millions of people are without electricity, water, food. This is a clear crime against humanity,” he said.

He also called for a ban on the Russian Federation from participating in the vote related to its aggression against Ukraine.

“A terrorist state cannot participate in any votes about its aggression, its terror, it is a dead end,” the president said.

Zelensky also called for a change in the practice whereby the Russian Federation, as a terrorist state, has the right to veto any Security Council decisions, including those related to its aggression against Ukraine.

Also, the President of Ukraine invited UN representatives to come and see what Russia has done to the Ukrainian infrastructure, and the UN Security Council to support the Ukrainian peace formula that he previously presented.

“Today, 70 missiles flew a day – this is the Russian formula of terror. We are waiting for a reaction to Russian terrorism. We need air defense systems. It is time to support the Ukrainian formula of peace,” the president insisted.

It will be remembered that the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, said that Russia’s missile stock has not been exhausted, and that the strikes in Ukraine will continue.

Earlier, Mikhail Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the Office of the President, said that the Russian Federation is pleading for negotiations from Kyiv.
