He recalled that since the beginning of the Russian invasion, France has sent Ukraine 18 Caesar self-propelled artillery mounts, Milan and Mistral missiles, about 60 VAB armored personnel carriers, HDP-2A2 anti-tank mines, protective equipment in case have a nuclear, biological or chemical threat, the latest night vision devices.
And in recent deliveries, Kyiv received two Crotale missile batteries for air defense and two multiple launch rocket systems.
Also, Paris is preparing to transfer 155-mm TRF1 howitzers and is considering a request from the Ukrainian army for the provision of radars.
In addition, a 200 million euro support fund approved by the French parliament will allow Ukraine to place defense orders with French companies and provide maintenance for the supplied weapons.
“It can also be used to purchase Bastion infantry fighting vehicles or pontoon crossings,” added the minister.
In addition to financial and material aid, France decided to train Ukrainian soldiers.
“Our goal is to start supporting 2,000 people out of the 15,000 proposed by the European Union. 400 Ukrainian soldiers have already been trained, especially with the equipment we provide,” said Lecornu.
