“We must be ready for any development of events, because a driven rat from its bunker can give even the most crazy sequence. In this case, it is necessary to respond quickly and in a coordinated manner,” said Pavel Kirilenko, head of the Donetsk Regional Police Department.
According to him, all relevant departments of the Regional State Administration and local administrations, rescuers, police and doctors took part in the exercises.
The purpose of the exercises is to gain knowledge on how to act in these conditions, taking into account the characteristics of the weapons used and the weather.
Earlier, in the Chernivtsi region, an exercise was held to eliminate the consequences of a nuclear strike, said the head of the local OVA Ruslan Zaparanyuk.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry said the possible nuclear strike was purely defensive.
In turn, the US State Department promised Russia a catastrophe in the event of the use of nuclear weapons.
