So far, there are no long queues at the border crossings, but it is not known how long the crossing between the countries will be closed.
Traffic has been suspended at all Ukrainian border checkpoints in Podkarpackie Voivodeship. No one can enter or leave Poland. On Wednesday, November 16, wrote Gazeta Wyborcza.
According to the press secretary of the Bieszczady department of the border service, Piotr Zakelyarzh, the Ukrainian side suspended checks after 19:00 on November 15.
The Polish side said it did not know the reasons for stopping the checks and closing the checkpoints, and how long the border guards stopped. According to Zakelyarzh, there are no long queues at border crossings anymore.
Wojciech Bakun, the border mayor of Przemysl, also reported about the problem: “They have power outages on the other side (Ukrainian – ed.). It’s hard to say if these are purely technical problems, or something else more problems are attached to it.”
At the same time, the State Border Service has not yet commented on this information.
Recall that today, November 15, during a massive missile attack by the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, explosions rumbled in the border village in Poland – Przewoduw. As a result, two people died, and the local farm was destroyed. In Poland, because of this event, the Security Council was convened.
