Russian President Vladimir Putin has decided not to go to the G20 leaders’ summit next week in Bali, Indonesia. Bloomberg reported this, citing sources.
The reason for the decision was the Kremlin’s fear that Western leaders would openly shun Putin. Instead, they plan to send Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to the event.
Recall that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was also invited to the event. He said he would only participate if Putin was not at the summit.
