In Poland, at the Novaya Demba training ground in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, on Friday, November 4, the largest military exercise of the countries of the Visegrad Group (Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary) – Puma-2022 – began. PAP reports.
The exercises will run around the clock until November 9. Troops from Great Britain and the USA are also taking part in them. About 2,000 soldiers and about 300 units of military equipment are participating in the military maneuvers.
The purpose of the exercises is to increase the coordination of the allied forces, as well as to test the ability to plan, organize and execute tactical operations in cooperation with the allies.
The exercises were mainly attended by units of armored and mechanized troops, as well as artillerymen, sappers, chemists and intelligence officers.
It was noted that concurrently with Puma-2022, the System-22, Gepard-22 and San-22 command and staff exercises will also take place.
It was previously reported that Finnish and NATO forces will conduct exercises in the Baltic.
