Sunak and Morawiecki agreed on a clear signal for Putin

The parties discussed strengthening the security of NATO’s eastern flank, as well as the situation in Belarus.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki agreed in a telephone conversation to send a clear message to Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin that “intimidation will not work. ” Sky News reported this.

The parties discussed strengthening the security of NATO’s eastern flank, as well as the situation in Belarus.

“Discussing the situation in Belarus, the Prime Minister said the UK is closely following developments and supporting Poland in the face of continued Russian aggression,” the Downing Street press service said.

It was noted that as part of deterrence on the eastern side, the UK has increased the capabilities of its troops and strengthened the activities of the Joint Expeditionary Force in the Baltic region.

It will be remembered that Sunak and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed the issues of assistance to Ukraine in defense against the Russian Federation.

Earlier, Sunak spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
