Queen Elizabeth II’s white silhouette profile is featured on all Royal Mail stamps. This is his symbol and sign.
The British Royal Mail has released a Christmas set of stamps featuring the late Queen Elizabeth II for the last time. This was reported by the Air Force.
The set consists of six stamps with gospel nativity scenes. The drawings are done in the Art Deco style.
Also, each stamp is accompanied by a cuar code, with which you can open the festive issue of the Shaun the Sheep cartoon.
But at the end of September, the Royal Mail officially confirmed that in future the profile of the late Elizabeth on the stamps will be replaced by the profile of her son, the current King of Great Britain, Charles III. However, the post office has not yet specified when the stamps with Her Majesty will appear.
It is worth noting that Elizabeth II, who died on September 8, was interested in stamps throughout her life. His Majesty is the patron of the Royal London Society of Philatelists, the oldest philatelic club in the world. The monarch, continuing the tradition of the royal family, took this position in 1952, when he ascended the throne. George V, his grandfather, had been patron of the society since 1910.
The last time Queen Elizabeth II visited the Royal Philatelic Society of London was in November 2019. Further visits have been made impossible due to the coronavirus pandemic.
