According to the RTBF, we are talking about 5,000 FN Herstal assault rifles, which are being replaced by FN SCAR in the Belgian army. Also, 200 anti-tank weapons, 3,800 tons of fuel and protective equipment will be delivered.
Belgium had previously reportedly blocked financial transactions of the Russian Federation in the amount of € 200 billion. Also, Belgian authorities have frozen nearly three billion euros owned by individuals and legal entities in Russia.
