GOT7’s latest comeback took place fourteen months ago with the release of the single ‘Encore’
GOT7 will possibly make their long-awaited comeback later this year! According to information released by the South Korean website Joy News24, the boys should return to promotional actions in May 2022.
The boy group is expected to make their comeback with the seven members through the release of a new album that, according to the website, is already without its final moments of preparation.
The new production will mark the first album released outside of JYP Entertainment, the agency under which all members maintained active contracts between 2014 and 2021.
Furthermore, should the comeback take place in the scheduled month, it will mark GOT7’s first comeback in fourteen months, as ‘Encore,’ the group’s latest single released, was released on February 20th. Remember the MV!
End of contracts
It is worth remembering that in 2021, Mark, JB, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam and Yugyeom end their contacts with JYP Entertainment. However, the idols were granted the right to remain together as a group, keeping the name GOT7 even after they left the agency.
With 7 members, GOT7 is a South Korean boy group originally formed by JYP Entertainment. Debuting with the song “Girls Girls Girls” in 2014, the group scored hits like “Just Right”, “If You Do”, “Never Ever” and “You Calling My Name” throughout its 8-year trajectory.
