The war in Ukraine will have an impact on NATO planning, says the head of the British Ministry of Defense.
The plan of the Russians to occupy Kyiv and most of the Ukrainian territories at lightning speed failed due to the fact that the occupying forces did not provide themselves with normal communication, weapon protection and comprehensive defense of wind This is with reference to the statement of the British Defense Minister, Ben Wallace, on Tuesday, November 1, The Guardian wrote.

“The Russians failed, having the advantage in numbers. They can brag about how many infantry fighting vehicles and tanks they have, but they don’t have normal integrated air defense, or normal communications, or normal protective armor on their armored vehicles, whose Javelin was just broken. And with all their mass, they couldn’t move on,” he said.
He also noted that the war in Ukraine will change NATO’s planning.
“In the Cold War, each of us had our own place, we all knew which side of the German border we would be deployed to. In fact, it came down to the details that the pilots knew the objectives of their D-Day. I don’t expect that we will have the same level of detail, but it means that NATO needs to be clear about what the overall military plan is and what role the UK plays in it,” added Wallace.
Note that since Tuesday, November 1, Norway has increased the level of readiness of the armed forces.
