The military operation to liberate Kherson from the invaders may last until the end of November, Kirill Budanov believes.
The operation to liberate the temporarily occupied Kherson may last until the end of November. This was said by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Kirill Budanov in an interview with The Drive.
“Most likely, the operation to free Kherson will continue until the end of next month,” he said.
According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to surround the city and isolate the Russian troops.
“That’s really what we’re trying to do. But outwardly they’re fighting. They’re trying to stop us from moving forward, and you have to understand that there are fights every day,” he added.
He also confirmed the assumption that “the battle for Kherson will be bloody,” but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to ease the situation as much as possible. In his opinion, “it will not be done without a struggle.”
Recall that Budanov previously said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine could take Kherson from the Russians by the end of 2022.
In addition, the head of the GUR believes that the Crimean bridge will cease to exist after the return of Crimea.
