The statement states that the calculations will be made according to the same mechanism previously used to report the damage caused by Germany during the 1939-1945 occupation.
In addition, Poland forwarded Germany’s demands for reparations, which it had previously announced. We are talking about the return of property stolen by Germany from 1939 to 1945, compensation for damage to victims of occupation and their families, compensation for damage caused by the Polish diaspora in Nazi Germany, reparations of the current status of Poles and people of Polish origin in Germany by giving them the official status of a national minority and the right to education in Polish, the return of cultural property exported from in Poland.
To recall, the Sejm of Poland on September 14 adopted a resolution calling on Germany to accept responsibility for the damage caused to Poland during World War II and to pay reparations to the Polish state.
Polish President Andrzej Duda said that Poland should demand war reparations for the damage caused during World War II not only from Germany, but also from Russia.
