The attacker demanded $150,000 from a private businessman to “settle the issue” in one of the criminal proceedings.
The internal security division of the SBU exposed an employee in the Main Directorate of the SBU in Kyiv and in the region. As a result of a joint special operation of the Security Council of Ukraine and the State Bureau of Investigation, he was detained “in the heat” – having received a bribe of 30 thousand dollars. This is the second tranche for “issue resolution” in one of the criminal proceedings, the SBU press service reported on October 28.
While law enforcement officials were investigating, the attacker demanded $150,000 from a private businessman. Because of this, he allegedly promised to return the seized property, which served as evidence in one of the trials, and “close the case.” At the same time, he had nothing to do with this production, could not influence the investigation and was involved in fraud.

It was upon receiving the “deposit” that the attacker was detained by law enforcement officers.
Currently, under the leadership of the procedure of the Office of the Prosecutor General, he was informed of the suspicion under Art. 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (fraud). The issue of choosing a measure of restraint is decided.
Earlier, employees of the SBU and the SBI detained the deputy head of one of the regional prosecutor’s offices, who “guaranteed” the registration of a disabled group for money.
