Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled eight enemy attacks – General Staff

The Russian invaders did not stop in their attempts to advance in the directions of Bakhmut and Avdeevsky.

Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces repelled the attacks of the invaders in the areas of the settlements of Bakhmut, Bakhmutskoe, Ivangrad, Maryinka, Soledar, Ozaryanovka, Odradovka in the Donetsk region and Belogorovka in the region of Lugansk. This was stated in the morning summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on October 23.

It was learned that the enemy was shelling the positions of Ukrainian troops on the front line and conducting aerial reconnaissance. In the past day, Russian occupiers have again resorted to mass shelling of critical infrastructure and civilian housing. More than half of the cruise missiles and strike UAVs were shot down by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

“Over the past day, the invaders launched 32 missiles and 25 air strikes, carried out more than 80 attacks from multiple rocket launch systems,” said the General Staff.

Enemy strikes were received by objects of energy and critical infrastructure of Volyn, Rivne, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky, Kirovograd, Cherkasy, Zaporozhye, Odessa and Nikolaev regions.

In the directions of Volyn and Polesye, the situation has not changed significantly.

In other directions, the enemy carried out shelling:

• in the Seversky direction – from mortars and cannon artillery, in the areas of the settlements of Gudovo and Khodyno of the Chernihiv region and Seredina Buda, Volkovka and Yunakovka of the Sumy region;

• in the Kupyansky and Limansky directions – from mortars, cannons and rocket artillery, in the areas of the settlements of Kolodyaznoe, Kotlyarovka, Kislovka of the Kharkov region, Stelmahovka of the Luhansk region and Zarechnoye and Terny of the Donetsk region;

• in the direction of Bakhmut – from tanks and artillery of various sizes, in the areas of the settlements of Andreevka, Bakhmutskoe, Bakhmut, Veseloe, Zelenopolye, Kleschievka, Mayorsk, Kurdyumovka, Ozaryanovka, Poprosnoye, Soledar and Yakovlevka of the region of Donetsk;

• in the directions of Avdiivka and Zaporizhia – from tanks, mortars, cannons and rocket artillery, in the areas of the settlements of Avdiivka, Vremivka, Bolshaya Novoselka, Vuhledar, Novobakhmutovka, Neskuchnoye of the Donetsk region and Dorozhnyanka and Orekhovka regions;

• in the Yuzhnobuzhsky direction, the enemy fired at the military and civilian infrastructure of more than 20 settlements near the collision. Among them are Bezymyanny, Belogorka, Davydov Brid, Novohrygorivka, Novoukrainka, Partizanskoye, Pravdino and Krasnaya Dolina.

Recall that the invaders concentrated 16 cruise missiles in the Black Sea.

It was also reported that in the south the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed warehouses of the invaders.
