Norwegian law enforcement officials detained a Russian citizen who launched a UAV in defiance of the ban.

Norwegian police arrested another Russian who flew a drone despite the ban. The BBC reported it.

A citizen of the Russian Federation was detained on Thursday night, October 20. On Saturday, October 22, the court will determine the measure of detention for him.

Norway suspects that some of the detained Russians are taking valuables.

Currently, Russians in Norway are prohibited from flying drones.

In February, the Norwegian authorities, along with the rest of Europe, closed the airspace for Russia, and extended the ban on the control of unmanned vehicles.

The Russian Foreign Ministry reacted to the incident and called the detained Russians “tourists”.

As previously reported, the son of a close associate of Russian President Vladimir Putin was arrested by the Norwegian police. He flew a drone on the island of Svalbard, where it is prohibited. Later it became known that we are talking about Andrey Yakunin.
