This was announced by the head of the defense company Jim Tyclet at a meeting with investors on Tuesday, October 18, writes POLITICO.
“Regarding HIMARS, we have already met with our long-term suppliers to plan to increase production to 96 units per year,” he said, reporting the company’s third-quarter profit and loss.
Today the MLRS production volume is about 60 launchers per year.
Lockheed Martin is also considering expanding its facility in Camden, Arkansas as demand continues to rise, he added.
