Russian businesswoman Elena Kaminskas (Shebunova), whom The Insider calls the mother of the illegitimate children of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, is married to a Lithuanian citizen and is suing the Lithuanian government over the annulment of her residence permit.

This was announced on October 16 by the Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT).

According to journalists, the Lithuanian State Security Department considered Kaminskas’ stay in the republic a threat to national security.

It follows from the LRT publication that three of the four children of Elena Kaminskas, including the probable daughter of Shoig, are citizens of Lithuania. This information has not been officially confirmed.

Another investigation about Elena Kaminskas was released on October 16 by The Insider and the Lithuanian edition of Siena.

It says that her husband, Adolfas Kaminskas, who previously owned a small business selling mopeds, became the owner of a Russian company with a registered capital of one million rubles after marriage to Shebunova, and also became an investor in companies involved in multimillion-dollar development projects in Lithuania.

According to journalists, after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Kaminskas, who received Russian citizenship, sold his Lithuanian assets.

According to the publications of The Insider, Elena Shebunova, who worked as a flight attendant for the flight squad of the Ministry of Emergencies, had an affair with her boss Shoigu in the 2000s and 2010s. He headed the Ministry of Emergency Situations in 1994-2012. It is alleged that in 2001 and 2008 she gave birth to children from the minister.

During this period, Shebunova, according to the newspaper, became the owner of companies that received multimillion-dollar contacts from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Defense. These firms were involved in providing food and supplying building materials.

In 2015, Shebunova bought an estate in the village of Zhukovka near Moscow, which The Insider estimates is worth 1.5 billion rubles. In 2020, she donated this property to Adolfas Kaminskas, and in 2022, according to journalists, he returned it to his wife.

Shoigu’s wife’s name is Irina. They have two children – Julia and Ksenia. The information that the minister has illegitimate children from Kaminskas has not been officially confirmed.

Shoigu has been under sanctions from the European Union, the United States and other Western countries since 2022.
