“The fire that broke out in a 24-storey building in Kadikoy district is being put out. Residents of the house have been evacuated,” the statement said.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The fire started on the lower floor and quickly reached the roof.

Video from the scene shows flames engulfing all floors of the building.
