Germany to give up oil from Russia before the end of the year – Burbock

Berlin’s plans include a complete rejection of Russia’s energy imports, Annalena Burbock confirmed.

Germany in two stages will deny oil supplies from Russia. German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock said this in Riga at a joint press conference with colleagues from the Baltic countries, Reuters reported on Wednesday, April 20.

He was “unambiguous” to confirm that Berlin’s plans included a complete rejection of Russia’s import of energy resources.

“In the summer, we will reduce oil imports by half, and by the end of the year it will go to zero. Then, within the framework of the joint European road map, gas will follow, because our joint withdrawal is the complete withdrawal of the EU from energy supplies from the Russian Federation, ”Burbock said.

Remember that France is seeking an embargo on Russia’s oil. This was stated by the country’s Minister of Economy and Finance Bruno Le Maire and added that “he is not hiding it.”
