The head of state said he had not only seen proposals from Russia, but he was convinced they did not exist.

President Volodymyr Zelensky did not confirm receiving the draft document from the Russian side as part of negotiations to end the war. He said this on Wednesday, April 20, at a briefing in Kyiv.

So, to a corresponding question from a journalist, Zelensky replied that he not only saw proposals from Russia, but was convinced that they did not exist.

“I’m sure they didn’t give us anything,” Zelensky said.

He also commented on the words of the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov that “the ball is on the edge of Kyiv.”

“In principle, I’ve played football well before. What are the rules there: you have to have two teams and have the ball. Here, it seems to me that Peskov is playing football on his own,” Zelensky said.

He also added that Ukraine will definitely show how it hits the goal once they give the ball.

Recall that Peskov previously said that Russia had provided Ukraine with a draft agreement document and was awaiting a response.

Later, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President, said that the Ukrainian side had received counter-proposals from Moscow, which they would study and draw conclusions.
