The company has ordered unmanned aerial systems for the military, the first three have already gone to the front.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine received three unmanned aerial systems (UAC) Valkyrie, ordered by Rinat Akhmetov’s company Ukrtelecom. In the future, the military will receive more such complexes.
“After completing the training at the manufacturer’s base, we are ready to carry out combat missions – aerial reconnaissance and artillery fire adjustment day and night. The Valkyries are our eyes that see and report on enemy movements without who have to come directly to him, which means they are saving the lives of Ukrainian soldiers,” said a representative of the Ukrainian Armed Forces unit that received the equipment.
The air complexes will start conducting frontal combat missions from today.
“Ukrtelecom has systematically helped and will continue to help the Ukrainian army. We have already allocated about UAH 50 million to support the combat capability of our defenders. And now we are handing over to the Ukrainian army the first batch of equipment from a Ukrainian manufacturer – three Valkyrie systems,” said Ukrtelecom CEO Yuriy Kurmaz commenting on the transfer of drones.
Ukrtelecom also reports that despite the hostilities, the level of availability of their Internet services is approximately 90% of pre-war coverage settlements, providing uninterrupted communication for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, government agencies, businesses and the public.
During the war, Ukrtelecom also donated nearly 3,000 tactical first aid kits, 4,000 medical tourniquets, 2,000 hemostatic bandages and dressings, 50 burdens, 23 generators, more than 180 walkie-talkies, more than 100 active and suitable for continuously, as well as other necessary items and equipment for military needs, including 171 vehicles.
About 350 Ukrtelecom employees are fighting in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As reported, as part of Rinat Akhmetov’s Steel Front initiative, the military received about 700 vehicles and more than a thousand drones.
