At least 20,000 people are being held by the Russians for “filtering” southwest of Mariupol.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is doing to the population of Ukraine’s occupied cities the same thing he did to the Chechens back then – he was mocking civilians in “filtering” camps. This was announced on Tuesday, April 19, in a message from the US Embassy in Ukraine on Twitter.

“Putin’s scenario does not change. In the screening camps in Chechnya, Russia has also beaten, tortured and killed civilians. We support Ukraine,” the diplomats wrote.

In addition, diplomats noted that from 5,000 to 7,000 people were held in a camp near the village of Bezymennoye in the Donetsk region. The occupiers wanted to throw them into Russia.

Also, at least 20,000 people were being held by the Russians for “filtering” southwest of Mariupol.

Remember, the President said that the situation in Mariupol remains difficult – the occupiers are blocking attempts to fix humanitarian corridors from the city, deporting people to the territory of the Russian Federation and trying to “mobilize” the Ukrainians in their “armies”.
