In Chernivtsi on Monday, October 3, when trying to stop an offender, a 22-year-old patrol officer, junior police lieutenant Taisiya Tatarin, was shot. This was reported by the press service of the National Police.
According to law enforcement officials, Tatarin and his colleague Oleksandr Hutsul arrived in response to a call about the corruption of minors. The applicant stated that near the school an unknown man exposed the genitals of the children.
“The patrolmen found the citizen, it turned out that the man was carrying a weapon and suddenly fired a series of shots at the inspectors. The policeman suffered a fatal gunshot wound, his companion was hospitalized while receiving all the necessary medical treatment. It’s up to you” said the policeman.
The shooter fled, the operation to arrest him continues.
