States-opponents of Ukraine’s membership in the North Atlantic Alliance must change their position, the minister emphasized.
Ukraine hopes for a positive change in the position of NATO members, who were previously skeptical about our state’s entry into the Alliance. This is what the head of the domestic Foreign Ministry, Dmitry Kuleba, said on the air of the telethon on Saturday, October 1.

According to the minister, it is in Ukraine that the future of the Euro-Atlantic space is decided now, because the security of Europe is impossible without the success of Ukraine.
According to Kuleba, Kyiv’s appeal to NATO changes the logic and dynamics of the process of Ukraine’s entry into the Alliance.
“The situation has radically changed. And even those states that are still skeptical about Ukraine’s membership in NATO should reconsider their position under the new circumstances,” he stressed.
At the same time, the head of the Foreign Ministry recalled that some European countries also opposed Ukraine’s membership in the European Union, but then changed their minds.
The diplomat emphasized that today our state defends democracy at the cost of the lives of Ukrainians, and noted that even in war conditions, Ukraine continues to implement reforms.
“Now the ball is in NATO’s court, and if the Alliance decides to determine the list of steps that Ukraine needs to complete in order to successfully complete the integration process, our state is ready to fulfill them,” Hut summed up.
Recall that on September 30, in response to the annexation of the Ukrainian regions by Russia, Kyiv announced that it was applying for an accelerated entry into the North Atlantic Alliance.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg replied that the Alliance’s doors are open and that NATO members respect Ukraine’s right to choose its own future.
