Near Odessa, 17 bus passengers were injured in an accident with a truck

A truck driver swerved and hit a bus at an intersection near a grain collection point.

The police are establishing the circumstances of the accident on the Odessa-South highway, which occurred on Thursday morning with the participation of a passenger bus and a truck. This was reported on September 29 by the Department of National Police in the Odessa region.

“Currently, 17 bus passengers have applied for medical assistance. The event took place today at half past eight in the morning between the village of Vizirka and the village of Novye Bilyary,” the report said.

It was initially established that at the intersection, near the point of receiving grain products, the truck driver was making a turn maneuver and collided with a bus carrying 45 passengers.

An investigative-operational group and the crew of the Patrol Police Response Sector are working at the scene of the accident. The issue of entering information into the Unified Register of pre-trial investigations under the article on violation of traffic safety rules (part 1 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) is resolved.

“There are no traffic jams in this section of the road, traffic is not obstructed,” the police added.

Earlier in Odessa, on Dobrovolsky Avenue, a crane drove into a minibus with passengers. Six people were injured in this accident.

It was also reported that in the Odessa region, a father and son died in an accident. A car crashes into a truck, causing the truck to catch fire.
