The Ukrainian military has liberated a number of communities around the city of Izyum in the Kharkiv region, said on Monday, April 18, Defense Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Motuzyanyk.
“Yes, I can confirm. A number of repairs have been released as a result of intense Ukrainian military fighting. I cannot provide further information,” he said.
He noted that in Slobozhansky’s direction, it was the city of Izyum and its surroundings that were the areas where Russian units were most concentrated.
“From there, among other things, they will try to develop an offensive in the east,” Motuzyanyk added.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Defense also announced the need to provide weapons to Ukraine. First of all, we are talking about armored vehicles and air defense systems.
“We will not interfere with the methods of anti-battery warfare and electronic intelligence. We would be grateful for any help,” Motuzyanyk said.
On the eve of the Kharkiv region authorities reported that as a result of the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they liberated Bazalievka, Lebyazhe, part of Kutuzovka, and moved further east near the village of Malaya Rogan.
