The average monthly export of grain from Kazakhstan to foreign markets is 500,000 tonnes, the Ministry of Agriculture said.
Kazakhstan’s Minister of Agriculture Yerbol Karashukeev signed an order, according to which the country introduced quotas for the export of wheat and flour. This was announced on Sunday, April 17, the press service of the department, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
Currently, the order is sent for state registration with the Ministry of Justice.
The Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan expects that the restriction on the export of grain and flour will be introduced within two weeks and will last until June 15.
“Thus, Kazakhstan at this time can sell 1 million tons of grain and 300 thousand tons of flour. At the same time, producers are obliged to provide 10% of the exported volume to the domestic market, and at a reduced price – that is, 100 thousand tons of grain and 30 thousand tons of flour. tons of flour, “the statement said.
According to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture, it does not limit the rights of exporters of flour and grain, because “over the past five years, on average, about 100-120 thousand tons of flour have been exported per month.”
This, according to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture, means that quotas for 300,000 tons of flour are enough to ensure that exporters do not suffer.
Earlier, the Ministry of Agriculture explained that the introduction of export restrictions was due to rising world grain prices, in connection with which producers are reluctant to supply grain to the domestic market. . As a result, domestic prices are rising.
Recall that banks have lent more than two thousand agricultural producers in Ukraine.
