The Russian occupiers left many of their mines in Gostomel, making it difficult to move freely to the village.

Employees of the State Emergency Service and the police started Gostomel with enemy mines and wire ropes so that its residents could move safely around the city. This was announced on Sunday, April 17, by the head of the humanitarian headquarters of the Kyiv region Oleksiy Kuleba.

He noted that the volume of work was quite large – the occupiers left a lot of “surprises”.

The State Emergency Services team and law enforcement officers will work on clearing mines in the area from the airport to the city. Blockages are next in line.

“I think within a week they will finish a huge amount of work and we will see the result after Easter,” Kuleba said.

He also said that in Borodyanka the employees of the State Emergency Service have already completed the first phase of work, so volunteers can start cleaning the central streets.

Recall that the head of the military administration of Odessa, Maxim Marchenko, warned that the information about the partial demolition of the city’s beaches by sappers is not true.
