Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgiyeva the issue of ensuring the financial stability of Ukraine.
The head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, thanked Zelensky for the conversation and called it “very good.” Georgieva announced this on Monday, April 18, on Twitter.
“Thank you Volodymyr Zelensky for a very good conversation. The continued economic support from Ukraine’s partners is essential to lay the foundations for the restoration of a modern competitive Ukraine,” wrote the IMF director.

Volodymyr Zelensky himself said that they discussed ensuring the financial stability of Ukraine and preparing for reconstruction after the war.
The President mentioned that the state has clear plans for now, as well as a vision for the future.
Recall, Georgieva said that the Fund, together with international partners, is preparing for large -scale efforts to restore Ukraine.
According to IMF forecasts, due to the war, Ukraine’s GDP is expected to decrease by a third. After the war, great efforts would be needed to bring Ukraine back.
