Mexico earthquake: Navy rules out tsunami on Peruvian coast

Department of Hydrography and Navigation Naval reported that earthquake magnitude 7.7, which shook the center Mexicodoes not generate a warning tsunami on the Peruvian coast.

However, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador in Manzanillo, Colima, said a man had died as a result of a falling fence at a mall in that city.

“We must move forward, prepare, education is necessary in order to resist these natural phenomena, prevention, because we already know that we have the solidarity of our people, which is like a blessing,” the president said at a press conference.

The phenomenon occurred when two powerful earthquakes were noted that killed thousands of people in 1985 and 2017.
