Washington, along with partners, is considering retaliatory actions should Russia use nuclear weapons.
Washington is discussing with partners retaliatory measures for a possible nuclear strike, which threatens the head of the ruling regime of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. This is what US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink said in an interview with European Pravda, published on September 19.
“We are doing this in the US as well, and discussing with partners how we can act in response to those actions that are absolutely unacceptable. And the president has been very clear about this,” he said.
According to him, any talk about the use of nuclear weapons is completely irresponsible.
“President Biden has made it clear that any use of nuclear weapons is completely unacceptable and will have serious consequences,” the ambassador said.
The Ambassador also emphasized that the use of Zaporozhye NPP as a weapon is extremely dangerous.
“We support the Ukrainian government’s interest in establishing a demilitarized zone, as well as the return of full Ukrainian control over Zaporozhye. We are working with the IAEA and international partners to support this goal, as the situation is dangerous,” concluded said Brink.
It will be remembered that on the night of September 19, the occupying troops launched missile attacks on the South Ukrainian nuclear power plant. One of the missiles fell 300 meters from the nuclear reactors.
As already written by Athletistic, the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant has been reconnected to the Ukrainian power grid.
