Mass graves of people were found in Izyum in the Kharkiv region. This was reported by the Telegram channel of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
The necessary proceedings have now commenced.
“Tomorrow there will be Ukrainian and international journalists in Izyum. We want the world to know what is really happening and what the Russian occupation has caused. Bucha, Mariupol, today, unfortunately, Izyum… Russia has left death everywhere. And it should be for this response,” said the statement.
The head of state is confident that the world must bring Russia to the real responsibility for this war.
“Eternal memory to all who lost their lives to the invaders! Eternal glory to all who fought for Ukraine!”
Radio Liberty published a photo of a mass grave of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers near Izyum, Kharkiv region.
“We thought, there are about 20-25 people here. Even the inscription here is 17. We will check it when they raise (the body – ed.)”, – said Oleg, Commissioner for Missing Persons under Special Circumstances Kotenko.
Currently, the exact number of people buried in the cemetery is unknown, and it is not known who is buried in nearby graves.
