HLE actually transmitted the official position of the aggressor country in relation to Ukraine and caused significant damage to Ukraine’s interests.
On Thursday, September 15, the Administrative Court of Cassation as part of the Supreme Court of Ukraine rejected the appeal of the pro-Russian political party Opposition Platform – For Life (OPPL) and thus finally banned its activities in Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the SBU.
“The decision to prohibit the functioning of the HSE was made on the basis of a presidential decree and a decision of the National Security and Defense Council. They were based on evidence of destructive activities collected as part of the SBU’s response to threats to national security . First of all, it is about the demonstrable support and popularization of Russia’s aggressive anti-Ukrainian policy at the leadership level , and among its ordinary members,” the message said.
The SBU states that the HLE actually transmitted the official position of the aggressor country in relation to Ukraine and caused significant damage to Ukraine’s interests. The participation of the leading functionaries of the HLE in activities that create a real threat to the national interest, security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine has been established.
“Since the beginning of the military invasion, SBU investigators have been conducting pre-trial investigations in 70 criminal proceedings against party functionaries involved in committing crimes in the field of national security; as part of these proceedings, 30 citizens of Ukraine were declared suspects. , including representatives of local councils of various levels,” the message said.
The SBU states that the decision to ban HLE is final and not subject to appeal, and the prosecution of party members who have harmed Ukraine’s interests is ongoing.
It can be recalled that on June 20, the Eighth Administrative Court of Appeal satisfied the Ministry of Justice’s claim to ban the activities of the Opposition Platform – For Life party, but the party appealed the court’s decision to ban its activities.
