“Starting at 08:00, the enemy continued offensive operations with artillery, mortars and large-caliber small arms, in particular, in the direction of Jermuk and Verin-Shorzha,” the message said.
It is indicated that the Armenian army is taking “adequate response actions.”
In this regard, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported that in the evening and in the morning, army units came under mortar and artillery fire in the direction of Kalbajar and Lachin.
“Our units deployed in these directions are taking adequate response measures,” Baku said.
Also the night before, the Azerbaijani side reported that as a result of another escalation of the conflict, it lost 50 people killed – 42 army soldiers and eight servicemen of the State Border Service.
In turn, the Armenian side is still referring to its losses.
Recall that on the night of September 13, the Azerbaijani army began a battle against Armenia. Intensive shelling of Armenian positions from artillery and large-caliber guns was carried out in the direction of Goris, Sotk and Jermuk. Baku accused Yerevan of provocation.
