On Wednesday, during a government meeting, Moldovan Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilitsa criticized Cantaragio.

Moldovan Environment Minister Iuliana Cantaragiu resigned following a scandal on a site for citizens to buy fuel for the winter. This was announced on Thursday, September 8, on Facebook politics.

“Today I submit my resignation from the position of Minister of the Environment,” said Cantaragiu.

He decided to resign after a government meeting that took place the previous day.

During this, Moldovan Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilitsa criticized Cantaragiu for not fulfilling the instruction to create a special website on September 1, where citizens can find complete information about the process of buying firewood for the winter.

After the government meeting, speaking to reporters, Kantaragiu clarified that he sees nothing wrong with the fact that the prime minister’s instructions were not followed.

“Yes, there is an order to make the site before September 1. No. What?” – said the politician smiling.

This caused public outrage. Social networks demanded Cantaragiu’s immediate resignation.

As a reminder, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Rustem Umerov, People’s Deputy from the Voice, as Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
