The head of the German Foreign Ministry stressed that putting payments for electricity and the lives of Ukrainian citizens on the scale is cynical.
The concern of the residents of Germany, who put in the balance their payments for gas and electricity and the lives of people in Ukraine and Africa, is cynical. This is what German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock said from the rostrum of the Bundestag during the general debate on September 7.
“We are using all our diplomatic powers in the last six months to save lives. … We are trying (to bring peace) every minute,” the official assured.
According to him, continuous work is being carried out, especially, at the UN, through the International Committee of the Red Cross for the Organization of Humanitarian Corridors, together with the IAEA, to prevent a nuclear catastrophe.
He spoke to fellow citizens against the backdrop of anti-government demonstrations that have recently been gathering in Germany on the far right and left.
“Let’s not let the Russian regime destroy our greatest strength today – our unity and solidarity; this is the moment when we must stand together,” the message said.
He said that such behavior plays into the hands of the Russian regime and supports the aggressor. The head of the Foreign Ministry recalled that the current war was waged not only with weapons, not only with the help of gas and oil, but with the help of lies and false narratives.
Burbock mentioned the importance of further unity not only of influential international structures such as the EU, NATO, G7, but also of the 141 countries of the world that condemned Russia’s aggression.
It is important for Germany today to be a reliable partner for weak partners, including in terms of financial support, the minister insisted.
Remember, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock said that her country has been ready for years to support Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.
It should be noted that Germany will deliver IRIS-T air defense to Ukraine ahead of schedule. The latest German air defense systems IRIS-T will be in Ukraine in September.
