Defense forces and border guards are fortifying these areas to prevent another invasion of the Russian Federation.
Ukraine is strengthening the defense of the borders of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions to prevent a second offensive from Russia. The defense of the borders with Belarus is also being strengthened. This was announced by the spokesman of the State Border Service Andrei Demchenko on the air of the telethon.
“Recently, we recorded an increase in shelling in the Sumy region, but the Chernihiv region was also added to it. At the same time, the Ukrainian defense forces and border guards are strengthening these areas to prevent re- attack on units of the armed forces of the Russian Federation,” he said.
According to Demchenko, the creation of a powerful group that can enter the territory of Ukraine is not fixed at the moment.
“Also, the border has been strengthened in the Republic of Belarus, because we understand that this country supports the Russian Federation in the war launched against Ukraine. And neither the Armed Forces of Ukraine nor the border guards have ever ruled that the military units of this country may join the Russian war,” said the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service.
Remember, the General Staff warned about provocative exercises in Belarus.
Earlier, the OPU assessed the possibility of an attack by Belarus.
