During the six months of the war against Russia, Metinvest provided 266 vehicles to the needs of the army, according to the company’s website.
144 special vehicles from the company’s enterprises were given to Ukrainian defenders, and 122 vehicles were purchased from abroad.
Metinvest’s special equipment is used for transportation, relocation and strengthening of positions. It is also used for the construction of city defenses and fortifications in the fields of the Donetsk region.
In addition to its special equipment, the company bought cars abroad. In July, the defenders received the last batch of 100 vehicles from Metinvest. These are usually pickup trucks, used in all sectors of the front to transport ammunition and personnel, evacuate the wounded, transport food, supplies, materials and other essential cargo. Also imported all-wheel drive jeeps and minibuses. In total, 122 foreign cars went to the front, worth more than 2 million euros.
Also in July, 20 special ambulances worth 300,000 euros were given to the Main Directorate of Intelligence for the needs of military doctors.
“The success of the military at the front largely depends on technical support. To improve the mobility of our defenders, Metinvest Group systematically provides vehicles to units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We help the Ukrainian army to protect sovereignty and win, and the Ukrainians survived. and live,” explained Metinvest shareholder Rinat Akhmetov.
It will be remembered that one day the Alpha special forces unit was fully equipped with the company’s equipment. The aid package for 30 million hryvnias includes combat drones, armored vehicles, thermal imagers and clothing.
In just six months of the war, Metinvest sent more than UAH 1.9 billion to help Ukraine and Ukrainians. In addition to protective ammunition, the company supplies the military with fuel, cars, drones, thermal imagers, medicines, etc.
