Drones destroy Russian equipment worth $26 million – Zaluzhny

From August 31 to September 2, a pair of Turkish Bayraktar TV2 drones destroyed the military equipment of the Russian aggressors with a total value of about $ 26.5 million. This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny on Facebook on Saturday, September 3.

“These are eight units of T-72 tanks (the estimated cost of one is $3 million), one unit of self-propelled gun AKATSIYA ($1.6 million), infantry fighting vehicle ($0.6 million) and howitzer ($0.3 million). Five T -tanks were destroyed. 72 and one BMP at a cost of $1.85 million,” he wrote.

Zaluzhny added that the total value of destroyed and damaged Russian equipment was $28.35 million.

“Effective Turkish Bayraktars in the capable hands of our soldiers are powerful weapons! One of the devices is help from friendly Lithuania,” said the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and issued a video of the destruction of one of the Russian tanks.

Earlier on Saturday, it was reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled attacks on six settlements. At the same time, the aviation of the Defense Forces made more than 40 sorties to support the actions of the ground groups.

It was also reported that on the day of September 2, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed at least 350 Russian invaders. The enemy also lost 25 tanks, 37 armored vehicles and other equipment.
