Ukrainians fleeing the war will be accommodated on two ships docked in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The cruise ships MS Ambition and MS Victoria will be used for the temporary resettlement of Ukrainian refugees. MS Ambition is in the port of the Scottish city of Glasgow, and MS Victoria – in the Scottish capital of Edinburgh. The BBC reported it.
The report says that the MS Ambition liner is capable of accommodating 1,750 people in 714 cabins. The ship was anchored for six months, so the settlers could leave it at any time.
It should be noted that Scotland undertook the reception of three thousand refugees from Ukraine at the beginning of the war. However, today this number exceeds 15 thousand people.
At the end of July, Scotland began accepting Ukrainian refugees on the cruise ship MS Victoria, which was moored near Edinburgh.
Recall that the Scottish authorities are closing the program for the reception of Ukrainian refugees for three months due to a lack of suitable housing.
It should be noted that Ukrainians continue to return home en masse from abroad – more than 36,000 people entered Ukraine in the previous day alone.
