The party claims that SP-2 was originally a geopolitical project aimed at isolating Ukraine, and eventually harmed Germany as well.
In Germany, the parliamentary faction of the Free Democrats – one of three members of the ruling “traffic light coalition” – has called for the dismantling of the not-yet-operational Russian gas pipeline Nord Stream-2. Spiegel reports.
“We demand the dismantling of Nord Stream 2 and the development of a concept of legal, technical and legal protection as soon as possible,” said the document approved at the meeting in Bremen.
The party claims that Nord Stream was originally a geopolitical project aimed at isolating Ukraine, and later harmed Germany as well.
The Free Democrats are calling for the expansion of sanctions against the leadership of the Russian Federation and the expulsion from the country of relatives of sanctioned Russians who have visas and the right to live in Germany.
As mentioned in the party, if individual countries, including candidates for EU membership, do not rush to join the sanctions and help the Russian Federation to bypass them or even provide weapons to Russia, then there must be consequences for this.
As reported, gas supplies through the Nord Stream have almost stopped. The reason for the closure was the repair of the only remaining gas pumping unit at the Portovaya compressor station.
Recall that the German authorities ruled out the possibility of launching the SP-2.
