Executors and those who gave orders and coordinated these actions should be punished, stressed the Polish leader.
Polish President Andrzej Duda said that the actions of the Russian occupiers on the territory of Ukraine could be attributed to terrorism. He announced this on Wednesday, April 13, following a meeting with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, along with the presidents of Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania.
He noted that he came with his fellow presidents to Kyiv to stand next to the Ukrainian leader and shake hands with him.
“To say that we admire his heroism, the heroism of his team, of all the Ukrainian soldiers who laid down their lives every day for their homeland,” the Polish President stressed.
Duda noted that during his visit to liberated communities in the Kiev region he saw two faces of this war. The first was the Ukrainian military, which fought the Russian occupiers, following all the rules and principles of war.
“And we have seen the second face of this war, which is complex … These are bombed residential areas, destroyed residential buildings. Not military facilities, but ordinary houses where ordinary people live. I saw these ruins on television, and now I see them in real life. It’s hard to believe. That’s why I told Mr. President Zelensky that it’s not war, but terrorism … it’s cruelty and banditry. . “, he says.
The Polish president said he would not agree to the second face of the war.
“There have been wars since the advent of humanity, but in the 21st century, the killing of women and children, the bombing of residential buildings, high -rise buildings – it’s terrorism, it’s banditry. It’s crushing. to the principles of international law … For those who treat these principles in this way, there are no places today in the heart of the international community, ”Duda said.
In his opinion, the Russian Federation should be excluded from the international community.
“Russia will not be ignored … It is impossible to conduct a dialogue with those who have violated these principles. The Russian Federation must admit … that it attacked … and the perpetrators of these crimes and the people who perpetrated them. permission and orders must answer for this … They must all be punished in international courts … Whoever does such things must be punished, and in the meantime, until the punishment ends, he must be removed … “, said the leader of Poland.
According to Duda, more than 2.5 million Ukrainians have already arrived in Poland, forced to leave their homes due to the Russian aggression.
Recall, the United States provides Ukraine with a new $ 800 million aid package, including weapons and ammunition.
